Carpet Stain Reappear

Soiling when you use a carpet cleaner on a stain and the carpet cleaner is not properly blotted or completely rinsed off from the spot it creates a problem called soiling. Wicking happens when liquid penetrates the rug or carpet to reach the backing and or padding. Wicking occurs when the substance that was spilled on the carpet has soaked through into the backing of the carpet and sometimes even the underpad. If you try cleaning the carpet using your traditional methods the stains will reappear after a while. In most cases it is not a problem with the cleaners rather the carpet cleaning method.

Step 1 make a cleaning solution by filling a bucket 3 4 full with water. This is a common occurrence that has a simple solution. Spills that absorb deep into the backing or pad can get reabsorbed into the carpet fibers and make its way back up to the top of the fiber. What is the difference between soiling and wicking. When the dirt is saturated it finds its way out of the fabric to the surface of the carpet. A reappearing stain called wicking may get removed from the surface with traditional cleaning methods but not from the carpeting or upholstery padding underneath.
